knees are in severe pain every day stiffness cracking hurts to walk stand docters have recommended replacements because injections didnt work

Only you can decide when the pain and limitations of osteoarthritis are affecting your quality of life enough to consider surgery. Your doctor can help you understand the risks, but the point where the benefits outweigh the risks is different for every patient. Many people go on to live active lives after knee replacement.
