Any help for skin that gets sticky when it gets wet?

sticky skin

Three nights ago I noticed that after washing my hands they felt really sticky, almost like when you use the last paper towel on the roll and you get that glue residue on your hands. However, it wasn't the last paper towel so I figured maybe the liquid soap was really old and doing funky things so I rewashed with dish soap and again grabbed a paper towel. Once again, my hands got sticky as I dried them off. Thinking now that there was something wrong with these paper towels, I washed again and this time dried with a hand towel only to yet again find my hands sticky as they dried off. The stickiness only lasts 30-60 seconds, until the skin completely dries, but during that in-between time of soaking wet and totally dry they feel very tacky to the touch and my fingers will actually stick to each other.

The next day when I took a shower I noticed that the water was beading up on the skin on my arms. Sure enough, when I dried off afterwards I found that all of my skin is tacky to the thouch until it is completely air dried.

Today I shaved my legs and my skin felt almost like it had a layer of wax on it that kept catching the razor. The skin on my hands seems to be getting more sticky when they get wet. Water continues to bead on my skin when it gets wet. I asked my children if they can feel that my skin is sticky to the touch and they said yes.

This is affecting all of my skin now, including my face. I always put a moisturizer on my face after washing and it does not feel like my skin is absorbing it now, it just feels heavy and greasy since the lotion just sits there on top. I also tried putting lotion on my hands and it was not absorbed at all, just left my hands feeling very slimy and greasy so I wiped it off.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or have any suggestions for what might be causing it? Thanks for any held you can give.

Kacha here. Interesting, anononymous, but I dont quite understand the instructions...
I was about to write to tell you all, that I had been better for a while, such a long period of time that I began to realyy trust that it was better. had a few interesting things to share about that. However, before I hade the time to tell you that goog news, last sunday i woke upp with totally sticky hands again :( three days later my lips got supersticky:(
During the time i was better the symtomes got more nd more better. I had a drawback for one day during that time, and that is the interesting part, it was the first day of my period. I dot know, but I woke upp that day with sweaty hands, and maybee it was just the increased amount of sweat that lead to me feeling the if better, maybe still a little persisten sticky whateverit is changes in skin or structure. So maybe it was just more sweat, and a little more salty sweat due to beeing hormonal ( You guys maybee know more than I do about what kind of hormones goes upp and down on the first day of a womans period?) Anyhow, I remeber thinking this maybee was a lead to this having to do with hormoes. The stickynes however was down to normal, close to nothing the following days. And i t stayed that way until last sunday. I have been wearing cottongloves, as you know, due to my chemical accident that made me sticky the first time around, and that i have had my "episodes" start close together with exposure to different plastic and chemicals. Since a was so much better I was a litte unconsious about what I was touching with my hands. Had got new plastic lightdecorations and stuff from IKEA that I had packed up. I did wher gloves but not all the time. I also had been using petroliumcandles, witch I am normaly relly carefull with. And so the sunday before this i woke up sticky. Stayed pretty cool about it, execting it to go away like the period episode...but the feeling wasmore rubbery and thick this time....wasncarefull with touching lips etc, cause I had gotten over most of my fear of the symtome spreading by touch or sweat... I have had a nasty habbit of biting fingernails When I get preoccupied with something, and I remeber doin this on wednesday. Thursday morning a woke up with, DAMN IT, super gluey sticky lips and inside the lips.....
I can tell you it is still persistent and I am a bit depressed about it now. IS IT an allergic reaction to touching plastic and wrapping and stuff? Maybe tiny bitty particles stay on hands and spread to lips? or is it not? drives me crazy not to now, And I can tell you, that whwn the skin gets to be better for a period of time, really better, when the shit comes back, I can definetely say that there it affects the sensation in the hands, I knew this before but I get so used to it and dont have normal to compare with and remeber after a while....Its like a litte dull sensation, as if feelin the effected skin all the time. maybe thats what makes it so hard to ignore, the skin signals to the brain that something is covering it. I Makes a squeeky sound again in water and my lips, though they are always carced bad, get cracked in a different way, and i get swollen where the lips meet inside of mouth, and when i close mouth and open you can see almost thread when the skin de attaches like a sticker from itself.
I happened a week before my period this time.
The only thing a changed, is coming into contact with new plastic stuff, and drinking lemon water with the shell in the water ( ORGANIC LEMON) IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE i DID THIS. I have however been drinking orange juice for a long time so It shouldnt be citrus fruits? maybee I got a really high concentration of essential oils ( they resemble terpentines i read somewhere maybee affected skin?) when i soaked the shell in the water too? But I have done that lts a times before, not just for the last 6 onths or so...
I hope to god this will go away again soon , escpecially the lips. And I am SO tired of the detective- thougths, why coulndt it stay better. I am scard that it really is the plastic, its pretty much unavoidable, since food and everything is wrapped...Wish I knew what it was!!! I maybee a little better inside the mouth than the first day, then i felt it a bit into my mouth and it scared me, dont want in in y througt like years ago, tht was terrible, leading to infections... Maybee eyes are a little bit sticky too, rubbed my eyes too....only a little...Please send a prayer or two my way to make it resolve quickly....maybee we all could find clues in this.
Best wishes to all of you, hope you are doing better...

I tried to answer yesterday but after 6 failed captcha's i gave up. Testosterone increases the production of sebum it can be caused by stress which will be temporary, but most commonly affects older women which is normal. a new Dr I just saw knew what it was right away they can treat you with meds or you can try to go the natural root with foods like cauliflower, broccoli and rosemary can't remember them all google it. I don't sweat water I sweat oil kind of like honey.

from what my opinion it could be clue that someone
delibrately added in our daily use household product
etc; detergent powder. if use bit of water and rub it
till dry you can find many white powder over the floor
despite howmany times hand wash it is hard to get rid
of sticky feel. but if using a liquid type of body wash it
fragrance wil stay onto our hand and breath into our nostril,
it seem like sticking to my mucus and backflow into my body.
the stubborn glue stick onto our hands, back, face, finger nail,
toe nail, hairs and also affected our scalp. it clogged pores and
result ance pimple over my face. i use olive oil for my child and
myself coz she also catcha what iam suffering, it helps bit but
stubborn feel come and go. if using dryer for laundry you'll notice
the wax feel over our clothing .

it could be someone bad around everyone like us
use olive oil every other day over face, hair and towel
may help a liitle bit. as for oily skin must use stronger
exfoliating washing form, or the wax will stick onto our
face and clogged and causes pimple.
