Hi Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear about your brother. Toxic exposure brain injuries are sometimes hard to decifer if and when the patient will recover. You may have to talk to his treating physician regarding this question. This specific injury is caused when the toxin stops the flow of oxygen to the brain which causes damage. The extent and duration of the exposure will be imperative to his recovery. If you want more information about the diagnosis, click here http://www.brainandspinalcord.org/traumatic-brain-injury-types/anoxic-brain-injury/index.html.

My thoughts are prayers are with you and your family.

Missie
