What is the end stage of Alzheimer's before death. A dear friend of mine has it. And she has not gotten out of bed or eat in four days. The Dr wanted to put a feeding tube in her stomach for only three weeks. Around how much longer will she live?

Hello mshunny56

Thank you for writing.

If your friend hasn't eaten in four days, she may be shutting down completely. But it's hydration that is crucial - is she drinking anything? If not, she may not last another week or so. If she is hydrating herself, she will last longer. She needs a feeding tube to survive - why is this not being done? Is she living at home?
Best,
