Maureen shares if someone needs to watch her father when she leaves the house to attend Alzheimer's learning programs.

Maureen:
There’s a neighbor down the street who, Dad doesn’t need a lot of care, but I asked him if he would come and spend a few hours with him so he wouldn’t be alone so long and make sure he has lunch, and then Dad will take a nap or read this afternoon. He is not a wanderer; I am very fortunate, but he is a rummager. There’s different kinds of activities or behaviors that I wasn't aware of.

The wanderers are scary, and he is not one of those, but he’ll go into his drawers and he’ll pull out stuff and then he’ll wrap it up in something and wrap that again and put it in the toe of his shoe and put his socks in it so you can’t find it, and then he’ll say he can’t, he doesn’t have any money, he has lost his money. Well, it’s up there some place.

So he is always rummaging and moving and rearranging and hiding and losing and finding. It can keep him busy for hours.
