We all battle with stress from time to time, but what exactly does our zodiac sign have to do with this? Why does my Aries boyfriend totally stress out over things that don’t even phase my best Aquarius friend? Each zodiac sign possesses contrasting stress triggers from one another and they all have different ways of coping with this stress. Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Aries tend to jam pack their days due to the amount of energy they maintain. As the leader of the zodiac signs, Aries want to take charge and seize the days full speed ahead. An Aries needs to remember that we’re all simply human and this energy subsides naturally. When an Aries feels this energy start to dwindle, they feel that they are letting themselves and others down and this is where the stress starts to sink in. Relax, Aries you deserve it. Take a day off and do nothing. This will replenish your energy and give you a moment to take pleasure in life at a more leisurely pace.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Taurus has a pretty strong work ethic and wants everything done perfectly the first time around. Consequently, this takes time to do. The idea of failing really freaks a Taurus out, and when a big project comes about they fear they won’t have enough time to complete it mistake free. Take it easy, Taurus. We’re not perfect and no one expects you to be either. Don’t drive yourself crazy by going over every little detail of something and stop being so hard on yourself. Remember that failing is a part of life and a Taurus should see this as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

What goes on in a Gemini’s mind? Everything. They rarely stop thinking which leads to a lot of talking. This active mind however, can lead to over thinking situations, which is a common trigger of stress. Gemini also might lose their cool if they find themselves in a conversation where it feels like they’re talking to a brick wall. Ease your mind, Gemini. An active mind calls for some activities in order to combat stress. Take those ideas in your head and turn them into something you can hang on your wall. Find a place where you can be around a lot of people so your conversational needs are met. A trivia night at a bar might be a fun way for a Gemini to destress.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

Tell us how you really feel, Cancer. This zodiac sign tends to build a wall around their true feelings in an effort to not get hurt or feel misunderstood by others. A Cancer needs security and tends to let their emotions build inside these walls they put up causing a massive, messy ball of stress. Untangle this mess and tell people how you feel when you’re feeling that way. Don’t let other people be the source of your security, either. Protect yourself by connecting with yourself. Some deep meditation may really benefit a Cancer and be a great source of battling stressful times.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

If there was a remote to let you control every aspect of your life, a Leo would be the first in line to buy it. It drives a Leo nuts when they can’t be in control of a situation. Group project? A Leo will find a way to make sure they are the leader and in total control. Accept life and its uncontrollable aspects for what it is, Leo. Remember you can’t control everything and once you let go you will find yourself living a much less stressful life. Learn to live in the moment and appreciate your life for what it is instead of trying to control every little aspect of it. You will see your stress begin to dwindle.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

Planning and problem-solving. A Virgo doesn’t make any decisions without thinking out every little detail through. Spontaneity sounds like the name of an upcoming horror movie to a Virgo. They also thrive on problem-solving and will help you with any issues you are dealing with. When it comes to solving their own problems, a Virgo can’t seem to ever find a clear solution for themselves. Stop fixing other people’s problems and put yourself first for once, Virgo. Give yourself more credit and stop being so critical of yourself. A Virgo knows deep down that trying something new or unfamiliar is only as scary as their mind overthinks it to be, but once they are actually doing it they ultimately enjoy themselves.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

Peace, love and fairness is a Libra’s motto. They absolutely hate it when they feel that they are being treated unfairly but hate confrontation even more. The stress of being treated this way only builds as a Libra racks their brain forever in trying to figure out whether they should confront the person who treated them this way or not. Speak your mind at the time when you are feeling mistreated by someone instead of stressing about it later, Libra. By keeping your response simple and to the point you can easily avoid any type of confrontation with your peaceful nature. This in turn will also eliminate the stress of thinking about whether you should of said something or not in the future.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

Scorpios are similar to Cancers when it comes to hiding their true emotions behind a thick wall. This makes it hard for people around you to truly understand how sensitive you are. From this misunderstanding, it is easy for people to cross boundaries with you, which really stresses you out. It also feels like your privacy is being invaded upon, which causes even more stress for a Scorpio. To eliminate this stress, it is crucial for a Scorpio to make it known when they feel someone is testing their boundaries. When others become aware of this, it will create a much more peaceful environment for a Scorpio to feel safe and thrive in.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

If you take away a Sagittarius’s freedom, be prepared for a seriously stressed and upset person. A huge causation of stress for a Sagittarius is following a set of rules made by others. They are very independent beings and like to do things that don’t make them feel constrained. A Sagittarius seriously feels the pressure when it comes to commitment, too. In order to ease this stress, remember to make time for yourself to explore and get outdoors, Sagittarius. The big outdoors have the freedom-loving Sagittarius feeling void of stress and themselves again.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

A Capricorn doesn’t settle for less and demands a whole lot from themselves. They set seriously high expectations and expect to reach them all which causes this sign a lot of stress. They tend to forget to relax when reaching these demands they imposed on themselves. If they can’t meet or exceed these expectations, they completely stress out. Remember to relax, Capricorn and don’t be so hard on yourself all the time. Set aside time for things you genuinely enjoy instead of making work the most important aspect of your life. You will see the stress fade when you begin to live in the moment.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Time is of the essence for an Aquarius, and it totally stresses them out when they feel like there isn’t enough of it. An Aquarius is a pretty high-strung being, and when they feel like they can’t get all the things they need done in the manner that they want to, stress sinks in. Slow it down a little, Aquarius. Stop feeling that time is your enemy and you’ll find yourself a whole lot less stressed. This way, you’ll ironically get more things done than by doing it at your usual fast paced manner.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Public speaking might as well be a Pisces’s biggest fear. They strongly dislike when all of the attention is on them and will mentally freak out if they feel like they are being exposed. A Pisces is very protective of their privacy and stresses over the idea of it being invaded by others. The problem is that Pisces often believes that they don’t know how to protect their privacy from these intrusions. Trust yourself, Pisces. Find some time where you can be alone to really understand and process your emotions. You will find yourself feeling less stressed when you get a better understanding of how you can combat negative energy from others.
