Rex Hoffman, MD, is a board certified radiation oncologist and the Medical Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center. He received his medical degree from Tulane University and radiation oncology specialty training at The University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Hoffman has co-authored articles on the use of stereotactic radiosurgery to treat brain metastases, as well as written papers on the management of anal, penile, urethral, and nasopharyngeal cancer. His clinical areas of expertise include the management of brain tumors with conventional external beam radiation and radiosurgery (both Gamma Knife and linear accelerator-based radiosurgery), breast cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, gastro-intestinal cancer, and skin cancer.
He serves as the Chairman of the Cancer Committee at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. He also oversees the Neuro-Oncology program, is the Co-Chair of the Thoracic Oncology Working Group, and plays an active role in the Head and Neck Cancer Working Group.
