I've been fairly healthy and have tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle most of my life. I am better at diet than exercise although I have not been overweight since my twenties when I changed my way of eating. I have three children with no miscarriages. I have had a few health scares: I was diagnosed with a kink in my ureter when I was pregnant with my second child - but opted for no surgery as the doctors I consulted could not perform laser surgery - I had a breast lump which was removed and benign - I have always questioned whether surgery for that was necessary??? I also had a pre-cancerous freckle on my leg which was removed - with no follow up treatment . . I am currently experiencing symptoms of menopause. I consulted a physician who performed an endometrial biopsy because I began having periods again after a 6 month cessation - that and my pap was negative - yet he advised I have a D&C, which he could not perform because I had no insurance. . .
