Dr. Myron Murdock

Myron I. Murdock, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an educator, surgeon/practitioner, author, clinical trial expert, and Medical Director of Vibrance Associates, LLC, a world-wide medical website company. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in northern New Jersey. He attended Boston University College of Liberal Arts and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology in 1964. In 1968 he graduated from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. While in medical school he received the Alec Horowitz Award for top surgical student in his class. He also became a member of the Smith Russell Reed Honor Society for academic excellence during his medical school training.

Dr. Murdock did his internship in surgery and his general surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Bronx Municipal Hospital Center. In 1970, he entered the United States Army and was stationed at Fort McClellan Army Hospital in Anniston, Alabama for two years during the Vietnam campaign doing general surgery and urology. After his active military service, serving as a major, he then served two years in the active U. S. Army Reserves. Dr. Murdock completed his residency in urology at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts where he received three separate annual awards for clinical essays in urology from the New England Section of the American Urologic Association.

He received his Board Certification in Urology in February of 1977 and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Urologic Association, its Middle Atlantic division, and the Washington Urologic Society. Since 1973, he has had special interest in neurogenic bladder dysfunction and male erectile dysfunction and has lectured often on these topics.. He was one of the founding members of the Society for the Study of Impotence, (now called the Sexual Medicine Society of North America). In 1983 he became one of three founders of the Impotence Institute of America/Impotence World Association, a national and international organization formed then to help educate men and their mates about impotence.

Dr. Murdock has been involved in clinical trials and clinical research for nearly 30 years, having published in excess of 50 research articles and has been a principal in more than 50 compensated clinical trials or research projects. He is a founder and member of the Urologic Governing Board of Affiliated Research Centers of America, now AmericasDoctor, a company that is a leader in site management organizations for clinical trials research. He is a nationally recognized expert in the fields of impotence and male-female sexual dysfunction, prostate health and male-female incontinence. In January, 2003, he became President of the Prince George's County Maryland Medical Society, is on the Scientific Committee of the State Medical Society, and representative for the State Medical Society. He was also founder and Vice President of IATROsystems/Praxis Medical Systems.

He has appeared often and widely in the media, including the Fox television network, held chat-lines on CNN and has been widely quoted on radio, TV and a variety of magazines. He was a "Newsmaker" speaker in November, 1999, at the National Press club in Washington, D. C., and appeared on CSPAN and the National Public Radio network.

Dr. Murdock is a university trained general urologist with special interest in male and female sexual dysfunction, male infertility, urinary incontinence and neurogenic bladder dysfunction and an additional interest in urological malignancies in particular the prostate, bladder, and kidneys. He is a nationally recognized expert in the fields of impotence and male-female sexual dysfunction, prostate health and male-female incontinence.

Dr. Murdock is married to Rose Murdock, a counseling psychologist in Montgomery County. He has three children including Jonah, an M.D./Ph.D. in Philosophy ; Erik, a geologist studying for his PhD in Environmental Science, and Jeremy, a soil ecologist. Hobbies include gardening, skiing, hiking/trekking, and travel.

He also conducts various research field drug test trials for various pharmaceutical companies.
