The internet is an optimal way to communicate, said Essortment.com. Share pictures, movies, stories, or socialize.
You don't even need to be discussing anything important. Simple communication is often more than enough.
The key is to show genuine interest in their life. This simple act can mean the world to someone.
Another great way to liven things up is to have phone conversations, wrote SixSingles.com. Sometimes, when all you do is type back and forth on the chat, it can become monotonous.
If you speak on the phone, it will change the way you hear the conversation. RossSimmonds.com continued saying that a phone call gives you an opportunity to communicate in real time and hear how they react to different topics.
You can learn a lot about someone by the way they carry themselves in phone conversations. To spice up phone calls, try role playing or have plain old phone sex.
Another popular way to communicate is via webcam. Essortment.com said that your significant other can see your expressions and enjoy the conversation much more.

One fun online date idea is to play online games together. For a more romantic date, rent the same romantic movie online and watch it together while texting or talking on the phone. Be creative and find things you both enjoy doing online that you can share.
An online relationship requires almost as much or more maintenance than a regular one, said Essortment.com, and a great deal more willpower.
