Dr. Blackstone shares how long most patients stay in the hospital after a gastric bypass procedure.
Dr. Blackstone:
Most people will stay in the hospital for two nights after their surgery. If you are a type 2 diabetic and you are insulin-dependent, sometimes you end up being in the hospital one extra night, so three nights total, but most people are able to go home two days after surgery.
