Dr. Shaw shares if ReFirme™ can help a woman reduce wrinkles.

Dr. Shaw:
Refirme™ is a skin tightening procedure that involves both infrared light and radio frequency. Many of you may be familiar with Thermage, which was the first skin-tightening device out of the box. That involved a monopolar radio frequency. There is also a device called Tighten, which is an infrared technology and what the Refirme™ does, like Cutera, it involves both technologies in one.

The tightening results from Refirme™ are subtle and take anywhere from three to six treatments. I like to combine it with other procedures like laser genesis which is a deep heating of the dermis with a YAG laser or adding Botox or other modalities to increase the tightening effect.
