4 Natural Cystic Acne Solutions That Actually Work

By January 15, 2018 - 11:57am

Have you experienced those large, red breakouts? Painful, right? These breakouts are common among men and women, aged 8 to 50. So, if you have it, don’t dread, hide, or cry. It’s cystic acne and you can do something about it. Although it is the most severe form of acne, there are far too many things worse than it.

The good thing is that you can get rid of acne naturally. And, you can do it fast. Here are the most effective solutions we recommend.

1. Do not pop them:

No matter how much you want to pop them, do not do it. Unlike other forms of pimples, cystic acne is not “poppable”. Because of its depth, squeezing it might not work and may only cause irritations. So, the more you touch it, the uglier it becomes.

In addition, if you insist on popping cystic acne, you are only spreading the breakout. And you can also cause the scarring to last for several weeks. Of course, you don’t want that to happen. Right? Now, if you think you have cystic acne, we have four words for you to bear in mind: Keep your hands off.

2. Apply an ice cube:

Is the cystic acne causing you so much pain? We suggest you get some ice cubes and apply it directly to the breakout. Leave it there for a few seconds to prevent the small blood vessels from feeding the cyst. After a few minutes, the acne should decrease in size. Also, the pain may subdue.

3. Observe a healthy skin care regimen:

While it may seem tough, especially if you are not used to it, having a healthy skin care routine is essential to prevent cystic acne. This routine should not include the use of moisturizers and skin products that contain harsh chemicals and are heavily scented. As much as possible, every product you use should be close to natural.

Here’s how you should begin. Before you apply a moisturizer, be sure that the skin is clean and exfoliated. The use of an unscented moisturizer is highly recommended. Next, to promote the growth of healthy skin, you have to use an exfoliant that is not harsh. If you plan to get out, apply an all-natural sunscreen. As you see, your skin care routine should not be so complicated.

4. Make it a habit to change pillowcases and towels:

Many of us tend to overlook this one. Pillowcases and towels often touch our face. And surprisingly, they may contain bacteria that trigger the growth of cystic acne.

To reduce the chances of irritation and acne growth, it is a wise move to wash these things regularly. However, do not use harsh detergents or bleaches. Use a natural and unscented laundry soap.

Cystic acne can be treated. Don’t let them be a cause of frustration. If you don’t do something about them, they can linger for months! By following these four tips, you can go to bed with a clean face and wake up with a zit-free skin.
