I’m currently managing backup policies for multiple endpoints and virtual machines using Acronis Cyber Protect. I’d like to optimize our off-site backup strategy to ensure both reliability and performance. Here are the details:

Environment:

50 Windows physical workstations

10 VMware virtual machines

Backup target: local NAS + off-site cloud repository

Network: upload speed ~100 Mbps, latency moderate

Questions:

What’s the ideal schedule for off-site backups (nightly full vs incremental) using Cyber Protect to balance speed and data integrity?

Which deduplication and compression settings work best when sending data off-site?

Are there recent changes in version 23.x we should be aware of that impact off‐site backup efficiencies?

For NAS + cloud setups: how should we structure retention policies to avoid excessive storage costs while maintaining 30 days of restore points?

Any real-world success stories or advice from community members who’ve scaled off-site backups with Acronis?
