How to share Spotify for Family on Android

By June 13, 2021 - 8:47pm

If multiple members of your family want to use Spotify, you can save a lot of money by subscribing to Spotify Premium for Family, the service's rate plan designed specifically for family sharing. In this section, I will show you how to take advantage of this particular subscription and, finally, how to organize sharing a Spotify subscription with other people, through an external service. Alternatively, you could also evaluate Spotify Premium Duo which for 12.99 euros/month allows you to have two Premium accounts, but in this tutorial, I will focus on the Family plan for multiple users.

Spotify Premium for Family allows, at a fixed cost of 14.99 € / month, to have access to Spotify Premium shared between multiple users, up to 6 in total (5 family members, to which the subscription on page https://techtodown.com/spotify-premium-apk/ holder can be added), each of which it has its own preferences, its own playlists and so on. The only condition for using Spotify Premium for Family is that all members of the "family" are part of the same household, an essential "bond" for the correct use of the service (contravening this rule may result in the suspension of the service, in any moment and without notice).

To subscribe to this type of subscription, connected to the Spotify Premium for Family site, press the Start button located in the center of the screen and log in using the data of your existing Spotify account, or by clicking on the Login with Facebook button, where I used to access the service through the most famous social network in the world. If you wish, alternatively, you can create a new account by clicking on Sign up and filling out the form proposed with the necessary information ( email address, password, name, surname, and date of birth ).

Once you have logged into the service, you should be automatically taken to the screen relating to the chosen payment method: if necessary, indicate the one you prefer, choosing between credit card (you will need to specify your card details) or PayPal (you will need to access the portal and authorize the payment) or choose to pay using the methods currently used in your previous plan.

When you are done, click on the Start my Premium For Family button and that's it: you are now the manager of the subscription, the only one authorized to pay for it and add (or delete) family members. Once the subscription activation is complete, you can immediately start the sharing procedure with your family members: keep in mind that each of them must have a Spotify account, even free (which will automatically be converted to Premium immediately after adding).

To do this, access the management page of your Spotify account, log in (if necessary) and click on the Premium for Family item located in the left part of the window: if it is the first time you enter this section, you will be asked to indicate some personal data, including the residential address. Pay close attention to the latter, as it must be the same for all the members of the family you are about to create! When you are done, click on the Submit button to confirm everything. At this point, click on the Send invitation button displayed on the Account page, then on I accept and fill out the form proposed later with the information on the member you intend to invite ( name, surname, and email address ): to send the invitation, finally presses the button Send invitation.

If you need additional help with adding family members, or if you want more information about the Spotify Premium for Family service, I invite you to carefully read my specific guide on the subject, which I have made especially for you. As I have already explained to you previously, the Spotify Premium for Family subscription can only be shared with family members or roommates (in short, between people who live under the same roof): if you want to manage your sharing in a more organized way, you can use Together Price.
