who decides before our birth whether we or female
The embryo growing day by day to its normal size before birth at one point of time dcides the sex all by itself, this is exactly the time mind takes its first, foremost decision in life, no regrets. world needs both male and female, preferably in same proprtion. Body and mind can go with this self decision, but how about spirit.
Ahhh...I don't believe we can separate the spirit from the body and mind. As for its appropriateness on a women's health website, the health of the mind is dependent on strengthening the spirit, and the strength of the spirit and mind then contribute to the health of the body. It's documented by research and science.

medically, scientifically Yes, you are absolutely right! :) AND also when we include mind, body spirit as being connected then is there some room for wondering about where it all begins. and hence the 'and how does that dictate happen' as an aside to the physical health discussion.

Science has determined that it is the X and Y chromosomes contained in sperm that dictates if male or female sex organs develop in a growing fetus. If you are wanting to place a "Who" on it, that is a belief or religious discussion and not appropriate material for a women's health website.

I think that Spirit 'makes the decision' . it is beyond the scope of mind...

There are those that believe that we chose the life we want to live before we come, so that we can better learn the lessons we have come here for; so that would make it a spirit choice and that is the spirit side of things; and personally from the body side of things I like to think that the two aspects plus the mind make up an irrisistable connection that cannot be severed. So to me it is a spiritual decision, backed by our body's amazing ability to adapt to it - note gender is not one of the first things to be developed physically, it is one of the last :)
