Description

Since the first iteration of the game, other variations have been created. Breakout Game was adapted to the Atari 2600 in 1978 with new graphics and gameplay following its initial arcade release. Even the original iPod had breakout game pre-installed as an Easter egg that could be unlocked by briefly holding down the center button. Eight rows of bricks, each with two rows of a different hue, make up the initial grid of the game. Yellow, green, orange, and red are the order of the colors from bottom to top. The objective is to destroy as many bricks as possible with only one ball by hitting it against the bricks with the paddle below or against the walls. A player forfeits a turn if their paddle misses the ball's rebound.
