Toni shares if diabetes is a prevalent condition in her family.
Toni:
Yes I do, in fact my grandmother was a diabetic, borderline sometimes. She had problems and other times she did not have problems. My mother is a diabetic, she is a diabetic 1. I have a sister who is a diabetic. She had five children and each time she had diabetes with those kids but the last one, it didn’t go away and so, she has been the most severe person affected, the most by her diabetes.
She’s also had a kidney transplant from one of her children because of her diabetes. She has been under major wound care because she has a problem with an ulcer on one of her, on one, bottom of one of her foot but, she has had these problems and she is surviving those for life. She has lost no limbs or anything like that but she is a diabetic that is low blood sugars, that is her.
But other than that family-wise, I have three more sisters and a brother and hopefully they are all healthy. They don’t have a problem.
