Food is our number one line of defense. With all disease comes the physical manifestation of inflammation. It is the first thing we look to rid our bodies of when our immune system is being attacked, It’s really elementary.
It works like this: First you consume inflammatory causing foods such as wheat, gluten, dairy, sugar, and alcohol. Inflammation can also come in the form of stress or anger/resentment, so breathe and forgive! These components contribute to inflammatory response disorder whereby your body will throw a kicking screaming temper tantrum, flaring up with allergies, rashes, itchy eyes, over abundance of adipose (fat) and aches and pains, to name a few. After a while, when left unaddressed, this inflammatory response disorder manifests into an autoimmune response disorder. Now you have double trouble, your body will now respond to unhealthy foods immediately by showing up as acid reflux, hives, itchy eyes and throat. Or worse, more evolved diseases like arthritis, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
Fuel your body with foods that are health promoting, not depleting. You're worth it!

Dena,
Is it appropriate to do coffee enemas after chemotherapy? I start my first round with Rituxan soon.
I love your book - it has been my guide since I was diagnosed and I have used many of your tools!
With gratitude and appreciation, Jaime
