Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Forskolin is derived from the mint plant and is touted as a weight loss supplement in some cases but is used for many other things. Are you looking to it for weight loss? There is no evidence that it actually works. There aren't many studies on forskolin in general so caution should be taken.

If your child needs to lose weight (and there are no medical reasons for being over-weight) then a low-average calorie diet with plenty of daily exercise should be her game plan. Teens generally have high metabolisms - even just cutting out snacks and things like soda pop should see benefits. A nutritionist can help.
Best,
Susan
