At the age of 25, after having my 3rd son I requested to have my tubes tied. I had complications and the suture on my left tube came undone, and I bled out. I had to have emeregency surgery where they did a full tubal removal the next day. When will I become menopausal or will I? I am now 39 and haven't had a period since 2005.

Thank you for writing.
Since you only had a partial hysterectomy, your ovaries should be intact, even if you had both tubes removed. But if you haven't had a period in 14 years, then menopause is complete. Are you sure you still have your ovaries?

That I am not sure of. I would have to contact my OB/GYN who did the procedure and see.

Please do so. Since you haven't had a period, it sounds like your ovaries were removed,putting you straight into menopause. This means menopause was over for you well over a decade ago. If you can get your records online, you'd know straight away but definitely talk to your OB/GYN.
