After a colon exam the dr. has recommended surgery to remove the colon from the small intestine. Why would this be necessary?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Depends on what he found and the results of any test performed.  Some of the causes can be due to Crohn's diseases, cancer, ulcers, intestinal obstruction and many other.  You need to discuss with your doctor any procedures and treatments he suggested.
