I sometimes get this pain when im going to get my period, but im still days away from getting it. It just hurts really bad. Im concerned if that would have anything to do with kidney stones. I do drink water but just not that much. I dont really just want to hear " you should go to a doctor" i would please like an opinion.

Thanks!!

Hello Anonymous,

Possibly if you have had this type of pain before your period starts.
Otherwise, if the pain persists and worsens, please consult your primary care physician.

Hello Anonymous,

How old were you when you got your first period? In the beginning of menstruation, it is not unusual for your periods to be slightly irregular, like coming two weeks later than expected.

Is the pain on one side of your abdomen or is it really in your stomach? Pain felt on one side of the lower abdomen is often related to ovulation, which is when one of your ovaries releases a mature egg.

Pain in your stomach area is something else, like a reaction to a food or a virus.

As long as you are not sexually active, you need not worry about your period being late.

Maryann

Okay my stomach stopped hurting but, my period hasn't come yet. When my stomach was hurting it was the lower left. And I've had my period the last three months so I have no idea why it wouldn't be here now... Any idea what is wrong?

Omg help me, I'm 13 I didn't get my period at all yet. I'm in the bathroom trying to figure out why I'm having a huge cramp on my lower left. I'm really scared and I'm having trouble walking. When I get up I feel like someone is grabbing my insides and twisting it or something. Does this mean I'm close to my period? Or is there something wrong help me!!!!

Hi I am 15 and my period is due soon but my lower left stomach is hurting. The catch is I didn't eat much of a dinner last night due to not being home, but I ate some breakfast and it still kind of hurts and I've been gassy.

Hello Anonymous,

Are you still having this pain? Has it gotten worse? Do you feel nauseous or have you vomited?

If the pain should worsen and you develop other symptoms, such as fever, nausea and vomiting, please tell your parent and contact your pediatrician.

Hello Anonymous,

Did you finish your period on May 25 not April 25?
Were you spotting every day of your period? Are you spotting now?

Is the pain on one side of your abdomen? Are you having any other symptoms?

If the pain persists or worsens, please contact your primary care physician. Should you develop a fever, please go to the emergency room.

Regards,
Maryann
