Hi Gelove,
Thank you for your question and for joining EmpowHER. Prenatal care, meaning you just got pregnant? You should generally call your doctor when you are certain you are pregnant, and set up your new obstetric appointment. Doctors generally see you around the 8th week of pregnancy. The week you are in is figured by taking the starting date of your last menstrual period and counting forward from there. If you count 10 months, or 40 weeks, you can find your approximate due date. Hope that makes sense. You also should have your doctor look at that vein. It likely is nothing to be concerned about, but they would be best able to tell you what it is and what could have caused it.
There are some great resources here for finding out your due date and early pregnancy symptoms (how to deal with them), and other information: American Pregnancy Association
Take care~
Christine
