I agree that Suboxone is safer and better option then heroin. But is important to know that Suboxone is also an opioid drug that causes dependency and eventually withdrawals if you try to come off it. We actually treat a very high number of patients with Suboxone addiction.

Thank you for writing.

Suboxone is one medication for people coming off heroin. You will need to visit a clinic to get on a program where you can safely wean yourself off heroin and eventually be drug free. Please seek help. Addiction can be safely treated - there is a lot of hope. Stick to a program. It's a huge commitment but many have done it before and many will after. Follow a real and reliable program and never leave it.
