Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Upon discharge, your father should have been given both verbal and written instructions of what to expect and symptoms that should be reported to the surgeon immediately.

In the event that this was not done, your father should notify his surgeon if
he experiences:
fever and/or chills
redness, swelling, or bleeding or other drainage from the incision site
increase in pain around the incision site

Your father should be scheduled for a post-procedure appointment with the surgeon. This is the opportunity to evaluate his recovery and the patency of the stent.
