Stage 1 breast cancer is an invasive breast cancer. This means the cancer has grown through the walls of the duct into their surrounding tissue.

Stage 1 breast cancer typically means that the lymph nodes are not involved. It typically also means that the cancer is 2 centimeters or smaller in size.

By being stage 1, your doctor will have to control the cancer within the breast and should talk about the surgical options. Treatment options to discuss with your doctor may include radiation therapy, may involve anti-hormonal therapy.
Typically, but not always, stage 1 breast cancer usually does not involve chemotherapy, but there are certainly exceptions to this and you should speak to your doctor for your personal treatment options.
