What is it and what can you do for a murmur in your carotid artery

I had a heart attack for blockage in one of my arteries to my neck but the other one is blocked 40% and has a murmur in my carotid artery in my neck and what can you do for that.

This is a question best discussed with your cardiologist.

Generally as cholesterol builds up in the carotid arteries the flow of blood becomes disrupted and the affected flow causes sounds in the low frequency range. There sounds are now called bruits or murmurs.They usually cannot be heard until the blockage is significant.
