Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough of certain important hormones.
Hypothyroidism is the opposite of hyperthyroidism – or overactive thyroid – a condition in which the thyroid gland makes too much thyroxine.
