What can soothe an eye pain?

I have pain in my left eye. Every time I move it down or look up or look at light. I have a sharp in it which is a rate of 10. Now I barely can open it

If there is no injury, these home treatments may give you some relief.
:
Rest your eye.
Don't rub your eye.
If you wear contacts, take the contacts out to rest the eyes.
Use cold or warm compresses, whichever feels best.
Gently flush your eye with cool water.
Avoid bright lights or use dark glasses to protect the eye.
Take a pain reliever if needed (ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc)

See your doctor if it does not get better.
