On average, a limb MRI (which includes knees) costs $1,567 at a hospital or $504 at a freestanding imaging center in the United States.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

We do not have any stats ourselves on this, but doing a little research shows that the cost is anywhere from $600-$2000. You are better off going to a good imaging center/clinic that you are a hospital as they tend to be more expensive.
Good luck to you - I got an MRI done once, with insurance, and my deductible alone was $500! The actual cost was outrageous! I had it done at a very good teaching hospital but the MRI came up with nothing anyway so do shop around.
Best,
Susan
