Hello hobbs,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns. Have you discussed with pain with your gynecologist? Are there any visible lesions on your vulva?

Vulvodynia is defined as "vulval pain in the absence of relevant visible physical findings, or a specific clinically identifiable neurologic disorder". (pelvic pain support network)

Persistent inflammation and persistent infections can cause irritation to the tissue. The use of over-the-counter preparations may make the condition worse as anti-fungal creams may irritate the skin and may play a role in the onset of vulvodynia.

This is general information. You will get a more direct answer by consulting your physician.

Regards,
Maryann
