Very rare strep

I've got sores all over my face, they never heal completely. This used to happen on a regular basis and still does. They used to treat it with vancomycin several years ago. I've got a different doctor now and he won't give me anything but some topical ointment and it's just spreading. What can I do about these very imbarrassing lesions on my face

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Vancomycin is used for bacterial infections.

We don't have the resources to recommend other medications but what is the topical ointment you are using now? And why are you getting constant bacterial infections to the face? Have you worked with a dermatological specialist about this?
If you can give us more information we can help you further.
Best,
Susan
