hi Ivebeen bleeding off and on an what could it be light to semi dark.?

Hi Anonymous,

Could you be pregnant? If you are not on your period and you are bleeding intermittently, please see your doctor to determine the cause of bleeding. 

Sometimes women experience spotting in between cycles and this known as breakthrough bleeding-- it usually occurs when you are on birth control pills. However, I do encourage you to see your doctor if this is non-stop medium-heavy bleeding.
