Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

We are not in a position to recommend specific treatment to patients - that is for you and your doctor/surgeon to talk about together.

Depending on the damage, non-surgical options like a cast can be used to realign bones - but your bones may have to be realigned first before the cast is placed. This is an out-patient procedure.

If that more simple procedure isn't possible, then more in-depth surgery may be needed to properly set the bones - you will then be put in a more secure cast for some time.

Talk to your surgeon about your options.

Best,
Susan
