Hello I will turn 59 in Dec.. I just had a Hysterectomy about 3 weeks ago. Oct 21 2019 I had everything removed.. Both Ovaries,Uterus, and Cervix I went through menopause nearly 5 years ago. Didn't have any problems that I could say were terrible..No Hot Flashes that I could say really bothered me..I'm very active I workout at least 4 days a week.. Non Smoker..Dont drink. Weigh 110lb.Iwant to live the rest of my life long and healthy. My question is should I start taking a low dose of Estrogen? Or just leave things as they are? I'm very concerned and worried to take the wrong action.. Could you please give me some advice to how I should go about this matter? I really appreciate any info you might have for me on the topic. Thank you so much for your time and help..

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing !

Many women don't consider taking estrogen unless they are getting very uncomfortable symptoms that they need help controlling. You cannot take estrogen if you have a history of cancer.

To start with, you seem very healthy. Can you tell us why you had a full hysterectomy?

We look forward to hearing back from you!
