Hello,
I have more shyness during sex. Because of that I usually didn't do much acts of arousing my BF. But my BF makes me comfortable and really enjoyed. I have much fear about losing virginity after red out the articles about bleeding and pain during losing virginity. My acts made him feeling bad and losing interest. How can I get rid of these.? Please help.
Thank you.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to our community for advice.

You often hear about the hymen breaking with first intercourse. It can happen, but if a woman is relaxed during intercourse and has good lubrication and she or her partner has tried to stretch the hymen with fingers, then it likely won't break.

Typically, the hymen has an opening the size of your finger. It is through this opening that your menstrual blood comes out.

Sometimes, cultural or religious beliefs and practices can affect how a person feels about losing her virginity. If you feel ready to be sexually active with your boyfriend, try to relax, engage in foreplay to allow yourself to be properly lubricated, and ask him to be gentle.

Regards,
Maryann
