The right side of my stomach gets a sharp poison when I cough or sneeze. Why is that?

You may have a muscle strain in that area. An inguinal hernia can also cause right sided pain that is worse with standing, walking, sneezing or coughing, as well as other causes. We cannot know. Your doctor can evaluate this pain and tell you more.
