In December of 2016 I went to my OB for a yearly pap and I mentioned to her that I hadn't had a period in a month so we did a blood test that came up neg for pregnancy and she gave me pills to start my period (can't remember the name of the pills). So i took them and my period came, heavier than usual and it lasted longer also. That is the last time I had a period. I have taken a pregnancy test every month since and also had another blood test that all came up negative. I talked to my doctor about possibly having PCOS, I have nearly all the symptoms associated with PCOS. It's difficult to get an appointment with my OB because she is always so booked up. My question is if i do have PCOS what are the treatment options?I have massive weight gain and facial hair that has really damaged my self esteem. Will that go away with any of the treatment options? I have also been trying to conceive for over a year to no avail. Will PCOS hurt my chances of ever getting pregnant? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
