Need help finding a shampoo and conditioner

that will help lengthen my hair quicker than it's going now.

I'm 37 and I badly damaged my hair by allowing a woman ( my ex best friend ) who said she was just a few classes shy of graduating from Paul Mitchell School for Hair... She repeatedly stripped my hair with the explanation that if I stripped it the color she then added would then last longer
( And because the color was lighter and completely different from my natural hair color I believed her and didn't actually look at what she was treating my hair with! I know now this is my fault I even purchased the product! )

In the 8 months of doing this I had NO IDEA she was using a semi permanent dye. So there was NO WAY IT WILD STAY IN AS LONG AS SHE SAID IT EVENTUALLY WOULD.. SO Essentially it came down to going through this process monthly at first then after noticing My long, soft, beautiful locks of naturally red hair just began to become brittle, break and I had SO much hair falling out each time I washed/conditioned or using even deeply conditioning my hair, handfuls of my hair wild wash down the shower drain each time I even rinsed My Hair! She then reduced it to recoloring my H
hair monthly and only stripping it every 2 to 3 months... I don't know which was worse honestly!? So now here I am a year almost 2 years later, I had to cut my long locks many times and now I have even after two years of courting and treatments only just below shoulder length hair

Hello ARIZONA,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. I am so sorry to hear this horror story that you went through.

I am not aware of any shampoo or conditioner that will help your hair grow. I suggest using a gentle product and be patient.

Regards,
Maryann
