Q:

My blood test said my thyroid was to low. I take throxine 88mg. But now the doctor is prescribing 75 mg. If my TSH is too low, shouldnt the new RX be at 100?

Hi Anonymous and thanks for your question. There are several types of tests that measure thyroid levels and the effectiveness of any treatments.  You really need to discuss your medication change and thyroid  level with your doctor,  who has more information about your condition and medical history, factors which are taken into account in determining dosage. We are not medical doctors and are not able to advise you on dosage levels. We wish the best for you in managing your situation in conjunction with your provider.

Take care,

Pat
