Hi I've been on BC for over a year now. I am on my 2nd week of pills this month, I've been taking them on time everyday but i missed 2 in a row on thursday and friday. I took 2 yesterday (saturday) and 2 today (sunday). I had unprotected sex last night after taking my pills. Could i be pregnant???? what are the chances?

Hi Anon,
When birth control pills are not taken correctly, then there's a decrease in effectiveness. However, they are still somewhat effective and if you doubled up for the pills you missed--you should still be protected. With this being said, if you want a 99% effective method of birth control, you must take your pills daily and at the same time every day from here on out. Try not to stress out over this and just continue taking your pills.
