Is it normal for my vaginal discharge to smell bad?

I have had this discharge for nearly one year now and i read about it and i thought it was fine until i realised it had a kindof bad smell. Is this normal? Please answer im scared so much that I might have an infection

Vaginal discharge is most often a normal and regular occurrence with some mild order. However, there are certain types of discharge that can indicate an infection. Abnormal discharge may be yellow or green, chunky in consistency, or have a foul odor. Abnormal discharge is usually caused by yeast or bacterial infection.
