Hello Anonymous,

As long as you made up for the missed dose, each time and as soon as possible, and did not have sex until two days later, you should have been protected.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

Missing three pills in a row and not making up for those doses, and having sex without using a backup protection like a condom does pose a risk for becoming pregnant.

The daily active pill keeps your hormone levels at a constant level to prevent ovulation. Missing three pills can cause levels to drop, and trigger ovulation.

Wait for withdrawal bleeding to happen.

Maryann

This is long. Bear with me. I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend a week ago. She has been taking a low dose combination pill, Lo loestrin fe. She started a year ago and stopped in August but picked back up in October. Two times out the past three days, she has had irregular bleeding from her vagina. The first time it was a brownish color. She put in a tampon and the next day it was gone. And then the next morning, she was bleeding again this time a red color and fairly heavier. I started freaking out because she's doing this midway towards the end of her cycle. is she by any chance pregnant? Or is it from the pills? She says this rarely happens and she's had spotting once. Is there a consultant or doctor with answers? Thank you.

Hi, I miss 2 pills in a row on Monday and Tuesday on my 12th week of quasense, and then had unprotected sex on Friday, sat, and Sunday with Sunday being the first day of the inactive pills. Is there a chance of pregnancy and I didn't double up the pills. I also had break thru bleeding on Wednesday Thursday and Friday and then it stopped.

Hello Anonymous,

Since you had breakthrough bleeding for three days, I do not think you became pregnant.

Good day
I went on holiday 24 December forget my pills at home on the 25th December I got my period for 3 days, came back from holiday the 5 January, had unprotected sex on the 4 January. We arrived at home the 5 January immediately I start to take my pills where I think I supposed to start after 12 days from not taking them. I went on diet plan the 7 January, my period was expected on the 23 January but I am now 9 days late haven't got my period for January. I have really tender and sore boobs, could I be pregnant? or is it just my diet that change my hormones.

I have just recently started birth control
It's a 30 day pack
I took about a week and half and after that I lost the pack.
My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex the second day I missed a pill
Is there any chance of pregnancy?

Hi Susan/Maryann
I wrote to you about the seasonale, would the risk be high for chances of pregnancy? As we had unprotected sex pretty well everyday if not every second day. Would the test be really accurate if I were to test now?also a question I have is how many pills would you have to miss in a row to be at high risk? Thank you :)
