if you are told you have diabetes wouldnt you take meds for it ?

Thank you for posting.

Keep in mind, each person's specific health situation will be different. I would ask my doctor if he felt it was possible to try lifestyle changes first (diet, exercise, etc) to see if it could be controlled that way. If he deemed this was OK, I would try that first. If he explained why (in my particular scenario) he felt medication in addition to lifestyle changes was needed, then yes, I would take the medication.
