Q:

I was just diagnosed with Central Serous Retinopathy in my right eye and told it was rare for a woman to get it. Is there another woman out there with this eye issue?

Apparently this eye disease is associated with steroids and young males. I was told it is rare to be found in a 57 year old woman. Is there another woman like myself who I can talk to?

Hi Anon,

Central Serous Retinopathy is most common in males around the age of 45 but it is possible for women to have it. It is most commonly found on people who have a lot of stress. I hope you find other women who you can relate to and give each other mutual support!

All the best,

Rosa
