According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the most popular drugs for treating arthritis pain. NSAIDs include ibuprofen (Motrin), naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn), and aspirin.
