I need a hip replacement. I have lost 2-4 inches on my right leg. Will this return to normal after the surgery

Exactly how the hip replacement implants are placed, and the size of the implants will determine the length of the leg after surgery. Ideally, your surgeon wants the leg lengths to end up being symmetric, but that is not always the final result. Discuss this with your doctor.
