said I had a small amount of fluid behind the ear drum. Again this pulsating noise started a few months ago getting louder. She gave me Augmention and told me to use Mucinex. That was five days ago and the noise is still loud. Any ideas? Pat

Hi Pat - Thanks for writing. It sounds like your doctor has focused on treating the symptoms you're experiencing. You may want to ask for a referral to an ear, nose and throat specialist ( otolaryngologist) for a more specialized examination and diagnosis of your issues since you have had the pulsating sound for so long and now have additional issues.
