I have had lots of pain in my groin area if i walk stop short or just walk it comes and goes about a month could it be a blood clot

I don't think it is a blood clot or deep vein thrombosis. The pain associated with a blood clot is severe. I know because I had DVTs in both legs following major surgery.

You may have a hernia or a pulled or strained ligament in the groin area. Consult your physician. With a physical examination and an abdominal ultrasound, a diagnosis can be made.
